With Yu Suzuki’s Virtua Fighter series currently in the midst of an indefinite hiatus, Tekken is now many people’s fighting game franchise of choice when it comes to realism and accessibility. There’s very little in the way of fireballs and other projectiles, with players instead encouraged to get in close and take down their opponents with well-timed combos and powerful heat attacks.
Tekken 8 Review
More than a fresh coat of paint, Tekken 8 outdoes its predecessors in every way, and builds the best starting point for the series in the process.
Tekken 8 is the franchise’s most recent installment and arguably one of its very best since the PS1-era Tekken games. Despite its heavy focus on accessibility, there’s a surprising amount of depth to the title and thus plenty for both new and returning players to learn. This Tekken 8 guide hub will aim to provide as much of this information as possible, with character guides, how-tos, and answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

Getting Started in Tekken 8 (How-to Guides, Tips and Tricks & FAQs)
Tekken 8 does a pretty good job of easing players into the action, particularly those who already have a bit of experience with the long-running fighting game franchise. That said, even returning players will need to spend a little bit of time getting used to the newly introduced special style and understanding how some of the game’s online modes and features work. This section of Game Rant’s Tekken 8 guide will aim to make this transition a little smoother, with a selection of how-to guides, tips and tricks lists, and answers to some of the more frequently asked Tekken 8 questions.

Single-Player Content in Tekken 8 (The Dark Awakens, Character Episodes & Arcade Quest)
Multiplayer may be the main focus of Tekken 8, but that’s not to say that there isn’t still plenty of great offline content for players to sink their teeth into. As well as the Dark Awakens story mode, players can also enjoy character episodes for all 32 base roster fighters as well as the newly introduced Arcade Quest mode. Those wondering how long it takes to beat all of Tekken 8‘s single-player content or whether there are any additional rewards for doing so on Hard mode have come to the right place, as these are just some of the many questions that will be answered in this section of our Tekken 8 guide hub.

Tekken 8 Trophies & Achievements
There are 46 Achievements in Tekken 8, not including the platinum Trophy on PlayStation 5. Like in previous Tekken games, unlocking every Achievement is relatively straightforward and can be done in less than ten hours with the help of a good Tekken 8 Trophy guide. Better still, only five of the Achievements are tied to online play and all of the others can be unlocked on the Easy difficulty setting, making this a pretty simple platinum regardless of one’s skill level. There aren’t any missable Trophies either, so players can easily mop up anything that they’re missing a little later on if needed.
