How to Bring Two Trucks Through a Gateway
To bring a second truck through a Gateway, you need to first drive both trucks to the Gateway target zone. However, if you think that just having the two trucks in the area will guarantee that they both arrive on the other side of the Gateway, think again. You can also not drive one truck through and then switch to the other one, as truck switching is currently limited to trucks on the same map, only.
The way to bring a second truck is to attach the two trucks with the winch. While towing the second truck, access the travel option. Note that travel is now hidden behind a “more” option and you’ll have to hold the action button to access the additional options. Depending on your key bindings/platform-specific setup, this can be confusing — so switch to the secondary truck if you’re having problems.
Once you have traveled to the new area, the two trucks will be “on top of each other” — ie, they are displayed as see-through wireframe models. Just move one truck to make them appear and be able to interact again.
If you messed up and left the other truck behind, no problem: Gateway travel is free. You can simply return to the last map and try again.
If you want to bring more than two trucks, you have to bring one at a time. Drive back through the Gateway to winch and get the next one.
