Getting Started
There’s plenty to learn about regarding Steamworld Build. But there’s no need to dive right into the deep end. If you’re just getting started, or are even just on the fence about downloading the game at all, then these guides will help point you in the right direction.
-
Above Ground Guides
The game is split into two distinct sections: above ground and below ground. Above ground focuses on large buildings and the automated conversion of resources to suit your needs. It’s also where you make your money. These guides will focus on anything relating to the surface side of Steamworld Build.

Underground Mines Guides
When you’re not above ground, then there’s only one place you could be: in the mines. The underground mines feature three unique locations, each more dangerous than the last.
Instead of a static map, the landscape is randomly generated. Instead of buildings, you build machines and quarters, managing a new selection of Steambots. Here’s everything you need to know when digging deeper and deeper.

Everything Else
Not everything can fit within the confines of these sections. Some articles are best left uncatagorized. Maybe it’s due to how spesific they are, maybe it’s because they’re more about having a fun read than maximizing your city building skills.
Regardless of why, this is where we keep them. Think of them as the ‘free range’ articles.
